With the city of Pittsburgh facing a shortage of more than 20,000 affordable rental units, we know that Pittsburgh still has a long way to go to live up to its reputation as a 'most livable city.' Thankfully, with your support, we are making tremendous progress to #KeepPghHome
for long-time residents.
Together, we passed Pittsburgh's first-ever citywide affordable housing policy and secured $10 million worth of dedicated funding per year for the Housing Opportunity Fund. Recently, City Council appointed the 17-member community advisory board who will oversee the Housing Opportunity Fund. Now, the advisory board needs to hear from the community.
It's time to get the Housing Opportunity Fund up and running so it can start helping people in our communities. Join us for our first of five community meetings as we discuss our priorities for the Fund and make a plan of action that keeps our residents' needs front and center throughout the implementation phase.
Free child care and dinner will be provided!
